During his five-year battle with a -then- terminal cancer diagnosis, Taylor Carol witnessed the immense impact that video games, entertainment, and educational technology can have on patients’ lives. Inspired, he founded GameChanger Charity, a non-profit committed to leveraging gaming, technology, and innovation to empower patients. Despite missing nearly five years of school, Taylor, now a 23-year old Harvard graduate, still wanted to do more to help hospital patients.
After witnessing patients and their families spend significant periods of time in hospital without sufficient access to entertaining media, educational content, or social experiences, the concept of ZOTT was born. Taylor would spend the next several years building the foundation for ZOTT, while personally visiting over 20,000 hospital rooms and consulting with healthcare experts from around the globe. Today, ZOTT finally enables hospitals to provide patients with the care they deserve.
